CLASS EXPECTATIONS

Dancers come to class prepared. Know what's expected of you and be willing to give 100%.

Listen and follow instructions. Instructors should not have to repeat themselves. Focus on instruction not on other classmates!

Take corrections. Our job is to help you improve. Please do not argue or roll your eyes (my personal pet peeve). We really do have your best interests at heart.

Do NOT correct other dancers! That is not your job.

Please support and encourage one another.

Don't compare yourself to other dancers! Each of us is uniquely blessed. Embrace your strengths. Work to improve your weaknesses.
Focus solely on your growth as you strive to be the best dancer you can be.

Parents, not every child develops the same.
Dance is very taxing on the body. Dance Images wants your dancer to be safe.
If she/he has not moved up a class, it is because we feel it is in the best interest of that dancer. The absolute best thing you can do is support us in this.
I know this can be difficult, especially when your child is expressing hurt.
Please trust us! We never want to hurt a dancer, but better injured feelings than injured body!!

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Please note, remaining at any given level of training does not imply that a dancer is "stuck" at that level or being "held back."

Our dancers are treated as individuals.

This may require that additional time be afforded to a dancer in a given level of a specific genre of a dance.

Everyone grows and develops at different rates and in different manners.

We want our dancers to succeed and reach their fullest potential.that best meets the needs of their maturing body - physically, cognitively, and emotionally.

They will become stronger as well as much better technically if allowed to learn and progress at their individual rate.

It is never the desire of Dance Images to hold a dancer back.
Rather, we aim to help our dancers soar forward along a path that is ideal for them as an individual so that they will develop joy, confidence, and success in the art of dance. .
