Kathy Wise-Leonard

Kathy has owned and operated Dance Images since 1984. She graduated from WKU with a degree in Recreation and a Dance Minor in 1977.  Kathy has studied at the Alvin Ailey Studio, Martha Graham Studio, Gus Giordano, American Dance Machine, and others. Kathy completed her Masters in Theatre at WKU in 1981 and has completed the Dance Educators of America Master's Program. She taught all forms of Dance at WKU as a Graduate Assistant.
    Kathy also directs and choreographs plays and has directed over 30 for Fountain Square Players and choreographed many for Public Theatre of Kentucky and Bowling Green High School.  She has taught 6 years of Artist in Residency all over Warren County and has instructed 16 dancers that have been accepted into Kentucky's Governor's School for the Arts  for Dance

Elizabeth Birk Elizabeth    Birk

Elizabeth is a native of Bowling Green and has been dancing since age four.  She has been a part of Dance Images as an instructor for six years and as the parent of a dancer for twelve years.  Elizabeth enjoys choreographing for area high schools and Fountain Square Players.  She has four fabulous children, Nicholas, Hannah, MacMillian, and Abigail.

Katie Lewis

Katie                                  Katie is a Greenwood High School graduate. She is pursuing a degree in exercise science at Western Kentucky University, while teaching several dance classes at Dance Images. Katie began her dance career at the age of six, when she began taking ballet classes in Tennessee at the Cumberland Dance Academy under the instruction of Venna Champion. In 1999 she moved to Bowling Green, KY with her family. Shortly after moving to Bowling Green she started taking ballet, pointe, and jazz classes at Dance Images. In 2000 Katie was chosen to participate in the Moscow Ballet performance of the Nutcracker. While continuing her classes at Dance Images she also performed three solos in front of crowds well over 1,000 people. Katie was also on the 2005-2006 Greenwood High School dance team under the instruction of Stephanie Pennington (a former Dance Images student). After graduating from Greenwood, Katie was chosen for the 2007-2008 Western Kentucky University Dance Team. Currently, Katie shares her passion and talent for dance by teaching ballet, pointe, and jazz classes at Dance Images throughout the week. After graduating from WKU, she hopes to continue sharing her love for dance through teaching and performances.

Whitney Snodgrass
Whitney began her training at the age of four at Dance Images and continued her training there throughout high school. She graduated from the University of Alabama and received a B.A in Dance and a minor in Human Nutrition. There she studied pointe, ballet, modern, jazz, tap, Whitneychoreography, Pilates/conditioning, and dance kinesiology, all under the direction of: Cornelius Carter, Rita Snyder, Sarah Barry, John Virciglio, Rhea Speights, and Hilary Hodgens-Howard. She was a dancer with the pre-professional dance company, Alabama Repertory Dance Theatre and was also a member of Dance, Alabama!. In 2007, she was a dancer for the event “Brambu Drezi” which was a collaborative performance of dance, music, and poetry. In 2006, Snodgrass was on staff as a counselor for the American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive in Tuscaloosa, AL. That same year she was a featured dancer in the Ritz Club Revenue Gala for the University of Alabama’s Dance Department. Snodgrass also attended North Carolina School of the Arts Summer Intensive 2003 for dance, with a concentration in ballet. Currently, Snodgrass is teaching ballet and substituting classes at Dance Images.
